Winter Reading Challenge

I have decided to do my own personal reading challenge for winter. The fall reading challenge went rather well and I managed to finish all my books, except for Nora Roberts latest which was just released and will be arriving on Wednesday. I simply ignored the newer books and worked through my pile. My TBR pile is growing once again because I just can't pass up a good book, nor stay out the used bookstore for longer than a couple weeks.

All the books will apply to the Read and Review Challenge which just means I do a review of each book read. That ought to slow me down a little bit since I should plan on writing and posting the review before starting the next book. That hasn't happened the past week or two and I have finished 5 books.

Some books will apply to the Series Challenge Season 3 being hosted by Katrin at Crazy Cozy Murders. The challenge runs from December 1, 2008 through November 30, 2009. You pick a couple series you have already started and want to finish and read at least 4 books. Some will apply to the Romance and Christian Reading challenges that begin in January. None of the books will apply to the 2009 Pub challenge since they aren't new. I am currently working on that list perusing Amazon. I am dropping out of the Martel-Harper challenge simply from fact that most of the books don't interest me anyway.

Since winter is 13 weeks and I read at least 2 books per week, the goal will be 26 books. I'll be working through the oldest purchased to the newest which I have been doing since finishing (almost) the Fall Reading Challenge. I'll be listing the books in a later post.
