Musing Mondays - New host and Christmas Related Books

Rebecca over at Just One More Page has taken over hosting Musing Mondays.

She asks: With the holiday season now upon us, how does it affect your reading? Do you have more, or less, time to read at Christmas? Do you read Christmas themed/related books?"

Good question because I had not really given it much thought. Since we take a three week vacation from lessons during December, you would think I have more time to read. However, I probably will be spending the same amount of time reading. I have one Christmas related book that I picked up, but other than that I don't deliberately seek out Christmas theme books.
However, with my son, we pull out all his Christmas books for bed time reading.

Since I started getting involved in various book challenges, I started reading more. Some people ask 'where do you find the time to read with everything else you have to do?' I have been passionate about reading for as long as I can remember. I will always make time in my day for reading. And I'd much rather read, than watch mindless television and a thousand stupid commercials.

  2. I can relate with you on this! I don't read a lot of holiday-themed books unless they sparked my interest.

  3. I'm with you on the importance of finding time to read!

If I had kids in the house, I'd probably read holiday books with them too.
