2023 Reading Goals

 Reading Goals for 2023

I read 160 books in 2022 so I think the goals below are doable:

Complete my own challenge Read 52 books in 52 Weeks which includes 52 Books Bingo and Bookish Bookology and A to Z and Back Again.

Complete another 10 x 10 all the while reading only from my TBR virtual and physical stacks,  quite a few which are dusty and/or chunky.

1001 Books Before You Die
Baby It's Cold Outside
Books about Books
It's a Crime
Flights of Fantasy
Tales of the Past
Literary
Magical Realism
What a Mystery
Thrills and Chills

All while extending my buying ban through the middle of the year and I won't be taking advantage of Freebies or Kindle Unlimited until later in the year.    I've already ordered prereleases by my have to have authors: Nora Roberts aka J.D. Robb, Keri Arthur, James Rollins, Faith Hunter, Nalini Singh and J.R. Ward. Yes, it may be cheating a little bit, but at least I won't be spending the money in 2023. LOL!  The goal is to whittle down the existing pile.

Which is why I am joining My Reader's Block 2023 Mount TBR Challenge and aiming for Mt. Ararat which is 48 books, with hopes I may end up on Mt. Kilimanjaro which is 60 books.

My author of the year is Keri Arthur so plan to read through the remainder of her bibliography which includes the series Nikki and Michael, Relic Hunters, Ripple Creek Werewolf, and the standalone Who Needs Enemies.

I have so many non fiction books in my stacks which I ignored in 2022, so plan  to read at least one per month.

Join the Crazy Connections challenge with Healthy, Wealthy, and Wise which is 100 books and combines exercise with reading. We'll see how that goes. LOL!

Read along with the Queen Consort Camilla in her Royal Reading Room. The first season books which I just happen to have in my stacks, include: Labyrinth by Kate Mosse, Mrs Harris Goes To Paris by Paul Gallico, The Far Pavilions by M. M. Kaye, and Great Circle by Maggie Shipstead.  We will be starting with Labyrinth.
