My Two Blessings

James Godzilla Page For the past few days James has been working on a blog called James Godzilla Page. He has written several stories about Godzilla dreams. Plus the past two days he has been working on a book which he completed today. His stories can be found here . He writes them and I just type em up for him.

Random Not So Random We had the pleasure of watching the lunar eclipse Thursday. I was in the middle of cooking pasta when Father calls to tell us to look outside. We scurry out front and watch for a couple minutes. I took a couple shots with my kodak. Then went in and drained the pasta and set it aside. Grabbed the Nikon and took a few shots. Fiddled with settings, fiddled with lenses, fiddled some more and went back for the Kodak. Every time I use the dang Nikon I tell myself "I need to read the darn manual." Then self forgets of course, until the next time self tries to use the camera again. I am mechanically inclined, yet for some reason this camera and I don't seem to get along. Why is that? Happy Valentine's Day Today is a special day where you buy your honey flowers, chocolate, shower him or her with diamonds or spend exorbitant amounts of money in the stores to prove to your love that you love him or her. Everyday in our household is Valentine's day. Father and I tell each other I love you at least 20 times a day. We can never part without saying I love you. We can never finish a telephone conversation without saying I love you. I found my soul mate 15 years ago and just hearing I love you, I want you, I need you is enough for me. I don't need fancy jewelry or fancy dinners. Mushy cards and late night dinners are more my style. Father buys the mushiest cards that make me cry and I sometimes do the same to him. We fill our cards with xxxx and oooo's and heartfelt sentiments of life together. Every day is Valentine's Day for us. Every day James will suddenly express his love in the middle of watching a Godzilla movie or eating his dinne...

James and Mom to the rescue! Lovely Luna Poor little birdy I was peacefully sleeping in James' bed this morning... Why? Well, he had a bad dream in the middle of the night and crawled into bed with us. I can't sleep with two hot bodies so moved to his bed. Any who, James comes in to tell me Luna has caught a bird's egg. I jump out of bed and see Luna on the patio chewing on something. At first glance it looks like an egg which she has broken open. Out the door I go to save whatever it is. She had her mouth wrapped around the little fella above. I chased Luna around the patio, caught her and made her drop the bird. I scooped up the poor thing and took her inside. James and I had the experience of getting up close and personal with the bird and checked her out thoroughly. Stunned and breathing. You could tell the minute she came out of it.... Her eyes darkened and she looked at me and chirped , her claws grasped my finger. I get the bright idea...

VOTE!!!!!!! Father and I will be voting today for Mike Huckabee . Check out the link to find out his view on the issues. I decided months ago to throw my hat in his corner and after some contemplation and regurgitation, Father decided to do the same. Frankly, none of the candidates float my boat, but Mike comes closest even though Father says his name reminds him of Huckleberry hound and keeps calling him President Huckleberry. I am proud of Huckabee for keeping it clean and not resorting to mud slinging and lamb basting the other candidates. Several people told me they were concerned about his view on immigration and having open boarders which surprised the heck out of me. Do you ever get so busy or your brain so full of other stuff that unless you write a list of things to do, you forget. I seem to have that tendency these days. Then your lists get so long, you just look at it and decide to read a book instead. Lisa of Koinonia Academy tagged me back in November while I was in the middle of nanowrimo and it completely slipped my mind. And for the first time in my life, I decided to send some family members Christmas presents after Christmas. And I forgot. Then remembered. Then forgot again. Fortunately said family members aren’t too shy about asking if the packages got lost in the mail and with much chagrin, I remembered what I had forgotten. Do you start losing your mind, the closer you get to 50? Maybe I’ll just start writing lists of 5 things I need to do and once those are done, then we’ll go with another 5.
