Booking Through Thursday -- Recent "Big" Book

Today, Deb is asking

What’s the biggest book you’ve read recently?

(Feel free to think “big” as size, or as popularity, or in any other way you care to interpret.)

Define recently! Ha - just had to do it. The biggest book I read recently in terms of number of pages would have to be "Walls of Phantoms" by Courtney Thomas with 1320 pages.

Walls is considered the 3rd largest book ever written and it is a modern day retelling of Homer's Odyssey.

It's hard to say which book I've read has been the biggest in terms of popularity because that's something I generally don't take into account. There have been a few books I've read lately that have seemed to created a lot of buzz in the blogosphere.

One of them is:

Benny and Shrimp by Katarina Mazetti

The publisher liked this part of my review:

"Finally a love story for those of us who aren't perfect. He isn't an alpha male and she isn't a femme fatale with legs up to there. They are two ordinary people, as different as night and day who try to make a go of it."

Another is:

One that I think should be big just because I generally don't like horror, but this one really captured my attention. It's an eerie, scary, creepy, keep you up all night reading, suspense filled type of book.
